Cancer is a leading cause of disease in Australia, and it has a significant socioeconomic impact on people’s lives, as well as the lives of their families and the community. Unfortunately, up to 150,000 people in Australia are diagnosed with cancer each year, and most people have had some kind of interaction with this heartbreaking illness

Daffodil Day will be celebrated this year on August 25th. The Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day Appeal is an iconic and well-liked fundraising event and campaign. Even though National Daffodil Day is celebrated on August 25, you are welcome to participate at any time during the month. The Cancer Council is the only charity that works on all aspects of cancer, including research, prevention, and support for patients and their families.

The Daffodil Day Appeal allows individuals in Australia to come together and donate, demonstrating their opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer by providing financial support for cancer research. Bringing hope to people directly affected by cancer and their families by participating in Daffodil Day in whatever capacity we are able to provides us with the opportunity to do so.
